When we first started out we were hosting clients on Cobalt Raq3 servers which had an incredible 300 Mhz AMD processor, 128mb Memory and 20gb drives! Then came the Pentium III and Pentium IV, then Hyperthreading, then Core technology. As of January 2012 we are up a single processor with 6 hyperthreaded cores at 3.4 Ghz which by our estimates makes it roughly 500 times as powerful as the old Raq3 of yesteryear! It's incredible to think how far technology has come in just 10 years.

And now we can cluster these new powerful servers together in a "Cloud" that provides high-availability and auto-failover for servers that can now exist in a purely "virtual" environment. Cloud hosting has matured to a point where it has become a truly stable and accessible hosting solution. And it's so cool to tell your friends that you are hosted "In The Cloud".

Like traditional web hosting we provide the tools to help combat spam (SpamAssassin) but if you are dealing with a lot of spam it can take a lot of time to setup your spam filtering, training your spam filter to identify spam and checking that you're not filtering legitimate email.

Two-Tier Backup Policy

Your data is precious and we treat it that way. Our two-tier backup policy ensures your data is protected at every level! We take daily "snapshots" of all cloud VMs and store them on RAID protected backup servers. These snapshots are used to restore a VM in full in case of a rare VM failure. We also run a second backup to our Idera cluster.

The Idera backups can be used for full VM restores but are primarily used for user data. So if you lose a file we can restore it with the Idera backup and if you are on linux hosting you can actually restore files yourself by logging into Idera via cPanel or Plesk.
